What time did you wake up at this morning?
I woke at 5:30am.
What words would you use to describe your job?
Non-stop and hectic, but very rewarding!
Where do you spend your day?
I spend my day in the Assembly department of the Leckey Factory.
What does your job entail?
My role as co-ordinator means that I have to co-ordinate work to the assembly team and make sure we are hitting our daily targets. I also have to ensure that there are enough parts available for the assembly team to meet the workload for the day.
Is it 9-5pm?
It is normally 8am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday and 8am-2pm on Friday although depending on how busy we are, it is sometimes more.
How did you get into this line of work?
I have always worked with children with Special Needs - I find it really rewarding so when the opportunity came up to work with Leckey, I applied and luckily got the job.
What personal qualities are required to do your job?
In my position, it's important to be able to talk to, and explain work processes to the Assembly Team.
What are the biggest challenges in your job?
I don't face many challenges in my job.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Knowing that what I make is helping a child to have a better life is definitely the most rewarding part of my job.
What is the best piece of advice you could give to a new person joining your team?
I think just concentrate on the job in hand is the best piece of advice I could offer someone joining my team.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my kids and family, and I also enjoy working out in the gym.
Any fun / interesting facts about you?
I am a fully qualified gym instructor!
What time will you get home at today?
I should be home today at 5pm.
