Role
To support the Head of Research in activities related to research and development helping to drive clinical and service innovation.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • To champion the perspective of the child, parent and therapist, supporting the design team with expert practical knowledge related to paediatric physiotherapy practice and products.
  • To organise and manage prototype evaluations using clinical expertise to assist during the trials and to feedback learning into the development process.
  • To review, summarise and collate clinical information which assists in the development and generation of education and training programmes
  • To keep abreast of new research in physio practice, liaising with child development centres, universities, businesses or charities that can assist in R&D activities.
  • To assist in the identification of new product development opportunities in line with company strategic objectives
  • To maintain their own professional development to facilitate the provision of Evidence based practice to the wider Leckey team.
  • To represent the company in a physiotherapy capacity at external meetings, conferences and seminars as requested.

 

Essential criteria
  • BSc in Physiotherapy with a minimum of 4 years’ post registration experience
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Paediatric physiotherapy experience with empathy for the needs of children with special needs
  • Knowledge of new trends and developments within physio practice
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Clear logical thought process with a sound understanding of basic physical science
  • A practical approach to the use of equipment and to therapy practice
  • Fully developed time management and planning skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland for research and training activities

Sales & Business Development Manager

The Role

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director you will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Channel Marketing Manager to achieve monthly sales targets and deliver on the overall sales, marketing and business development strategies for Firefly.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a network of dealers across the world, building strong relationships whilst establishing new opportunities and developing business
  • Establish new distribution models within Europe to compliment the current online sales channel
  • Assist with new product development, primarily in facilitating and communicating market needs/feedback to the development team
  • Work closely with the Digital Team to enhance brand awareness
  • Writing and producing sales reports on a regular basis and analyse financial data
  • Manage assigned annualbudget
  • Manage the performance and development of the 3rd party channels and internal customer service team
  • Attend international events/exhibitions as required

 

Essential Criteria

  • Successful track record in sales and business development
  • Experience in 3rd party sales management
  • Highly organised and strategic approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills to include written, presentation and negotiation
  • A completer/finisher who is a confident decision maker and problem solver
  • Strong empathy for the end user and an ability to communicate with customers in a diplomatic and sensitive manner
  • Willingness to undertake regular international travel

Role:

This role is required to support the Design Team by taking control of the Gate 4 and 5 activities to ensure our new products are launched on time. The Senior NPI Engineer will co-ordinate the NPI actions for all current G4 and G5 activities, supervising the NPI Engineering Team and any NPI work carried out by other department members.

 

As part of the role you will also be required to co–ordinate the NPI Engineering Team and wider operations team in the below areas:

  • New product realisation programmes
  • Provide technical support to purchasing in the sourcing and development of sub–contract manufactures.
  • Provide technical support to production & purchasing to maintain and improve quality and efficiency

 

Responsibilities

  • To co-ordinate and complete all engineering duties to ensure the successful implementation of new products into production – including all technical outputs, drawings , work instructions, BOMs & costings as well as production jigs and fixtures .
  • To provide technical support to production in the maintenance and improvement of quality and production efficiency
  • To provide technical support to purchasing in the sourcing and development of sub – contract manufactures.
  • To ensure that all technical files are maintained in line with all relevant ISO standards.
  • To provide support to the design team during R&D phases of new product realisation.
  • To carry out product testing prior to market launch to ensure all safety and quality requirements    are met
  • To report status of all current NPI projects through Gates 4 and 5

 

Essential:

  • Degree level qualification in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
    • Practical experience in manufacturing engineering department with specific experience in product   realisation and manufacturing techniques
    • Practical experience of leading a team and reporting progress.
    • A thorough understanding and demonstrable experience of manufacturing process including plastics, aluminium and metal fabrication processes.
    • Understanding of outsourcing of manufacturing processes and associated control of both cost and quality.
    • Highly organised, meticulous planning skills and detail conscious.
    • Demonstrable experience of 3D CAD modelling.
    • Knowledge of MRP / ERP systems
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft office products especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
    • Full drivers licence

 

Desirable:

  • 2:1 Degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience of CADCAM software.
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks
  • Working knowledge of Alphacam
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of Sage 1000

 Channel Marketing Manager

The role:

As a result of our growth plans we are looking for an experienced Channel Marketing Manager with particular focus around Product Management.  The person will report to the Managing Director and work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Business Development Manager.  You will also manage a team of 3 people initially, to include 2 marketing assistants and a graphic designer.

We are looking for someone who has excellent verbal and written communication skills, works methodically and is a completer finisher. The role requires flexibility and international travel from time to time and is a role for someone who wants ownership as well as a fair degree of autonomy after the initial introduction period.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Market Research
  • Competitor analysis
  • Manage product portfolio
  • Manage the NPD process – Working closely with the R&D team
  • Manage NPI and potential agency product entry to market
  • Product pricing and market positioning
  • Research all possible sales channels and work closely with the BDM to execute sales
  • Brand marketing and marketing collateral management

Essential criteria:

  • 5 years minimum in a marketing role
