Walking is one of the most complex skills to master but one of the most valuable activities for the physical and emotional development of children.

Pelvic Support

As with any piece of equipment, pelvic support is essential. The Kidwalk has pelvic support which is dynamic in two planes to encourage a typical walking pattern.

The pelvis is snugly supported by adjustable swing away supports and auto-centring hip guides.  Additional pelvic support can be provided by extended hip laterals.

Trunk and Head Alignment

Trunk and head alignment is important for maintaining the balance over the pelvis needed for focused, active upright movement.

Trunk support is provided by height adjustable laterals, depending on the level of support needed. A range of head  pads is also available.

Leg and Foot Positioning

While legs and feet cannot be static for movement, the Kidwalk has a number of features which ensure the positioning of legs and feet offer the greatest opportunity for controlled movement.

The height adjustable seat (with variable adjustment of dynamic vertical movement) is designed to ensure midline positioning for movement.
