About the role: Working within the UK Supply Chain team, the candidate will Improve the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis to deliver significant cost savings and drive optimum Inventory levels aligned to the agreed group policy. The position requires excellent attention to detail, a proven track record for reducing costs. A good understanding of Operational supply chain management processes. The use of interpersonal skills to gather information with recommendations to deliver set key objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Meet/Exceed PPV targets for all combined UK Operational Sites
- Drive optimized levels of procurement cost including year over year savings targets, based on spend data.
- Work cross functionally to identify and deliver cost savings and control costs.
- Understand key category market dynamics and trends.
- Identifying key cost drivers within the supply chain, such as raw material costs, transportation expenses, labor costs, and inventory holding costs.
- Develop a supplier category plan in line with the strategy.
- Working with Supply Chain team to develop supplier relationships of new and existing suppliers.
- Use of sales demand data, market trends, and analytics to drive optimum stock levels.
- Utilizing data analytics to forecast demand accurately, minimizing excess inventory, and optimizing reorder points to reduce carrying costs.
- Devise and support the development and delivery of the Procurement strategy and plan, ensuring this remains aligned with the wider business strategy, achieving all Procurement KPI's and driving business performance.
- Working as part of the new program Introduction (NPI) process to ensure lowest „cost of total ownership for the supply of externally purchased parts.
- Develop and nurture strong collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to protect the business and reduce supply chain risk.
- Identifying and resolving issues within the supply chain that impact costs.
- Engage with other Sunrise colleagues in other strategies and initiatives
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role withing a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Educated to bachelors degree or above in related field.
- A deep understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practice with an ability to plan and execute optimisation initiatives effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent IT skills and data analysis and ability to analyse complex data and identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Previous experience of developing strategy to deliver cost savings, reduce and optimise inventory
- Experience of working with global suppliers
- Proven track record of demonstratable knowledge and experience in leading and delivering NPI sourcing activities / programmes on time and cost.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools to interpret large datasets and identify trends to inform cost optimization decision.
- Detailed understanding of international trade, freight, Inco terms etc.
- Previous experience of leading cross functional teams to identify cost saving opportunities through resourcing, design and renegotiating.
- Track record of cost reduction and lead time reduction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office specially excel, word and outlook
- Ability to travel internationally to other Sunrise Medical UK sites and customers locations when required.
- Ability to continually review priorities and identify areas for improvement, and opportunities to drive value and business performance
- Full drivers licence

Remuneration
- 38 Hrs per week.
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm & Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm
- Permanent, full time
- Starting salary £40,000 + per annum depending on experience
