Firefly Scooot
Scooot is a 4-in-1 mobility rider. It lets children with special needs play, explore and participate in ways that suit their physical and cognitive abilities.
Product Overview
Scooot facilitates play, a key factor in the early years of development in a child’s life. It also complements therapy programmes in numerous ways by serving as a practical and fun device for home and therapy environments.
Scooot has four configurations:
- Scooot lets children sit upright to move around using their feet. Supported by a lap belt and backrest, the child’s trunk and pelvis are encouraged to stabilise, freeing up their hands to lift and handle objects, play with family and explore their surroundings.
- Ride lets children propel themselves around the floor by moving Scooot's wheels with their hands. Having fun in this function can build upper body strength, whilst exploration and participation can improve spatial awareness as well as cognitive, sensory and communication abilities.
- Pooosh lets somebody else do the hard work. If the child isn't ready to propel themselves yet or they are tired, the Pooosh handle can be attached- this means parents and therapists can help the child follow the fun at home, school or therapy sessions.
- Crawl allows children to move and explore on their tummy, helping to strengthen the upper body and tummy muscles as they lift their heads and shoulders.

Independence
Scooot provides an early experience of independence for lots of kids with mobility challenges. In doing so they will have opportunities for developing physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities
Advanced Backrest
For added support in Scooot, the Advanced Backrest Cushion can be added. The laterals move up and down to give support where it's needed, or they can be removed to simply provide a comfy cushioned backrest.
Adjustable Footplate
Adjustable footrest to suit the child's leg-length as they grow.
