Leckey’s new interface range enables the Squiggles, Mygo and Kit Seats to be quickly and easily fitted onto a range of mobility bases within Sunrise Medical’s ZIPPIE and QUICKIE ranges. This gives Leckey seating system users more choice and flexibility and the freedom to explore their worlds with the support and comfort they need.

Squiggles Seat with ZIPPIE Iris

It is now possible to combine this comfortable, supportive starter seating system with the ZIPPIE Iris base, opening up an even bigger world of possibilities for little ones!

With its 40° or 55° rotation in space ranges, the ZIPPIE Iris wheelchair helps children remain comfortable and secure whilst tilting and is easy for parents and caregivers to control. An optional folding frame with patented XLOCK folding crossbrace for extra security facilitates easy transportation and storage of the base.

The ZIPPIE Iris is an intuitive, easy to adjust base with built in growth options to accommodate the child’s needs as they grow. The ZIPPIE Iris also features an adjustable COG setting allowing the position of the base, in relation to the Leckey seat, to be optimised. This ensures maximum stability and ease of propulsion is achieved.

Mygo Seat with QUICKIE Iris

Why not combine the seat which provides the ideal support and comfort kids need to maximise function with the superb QUICKIE Iris base?

The QUICKIE Iris offers up to 55° rotation in space ranges whilst being extremely easy to manoeuvre. As the lightest wheelchair base available, the QUICKIE Iris ensures that both caregivers and users have the smoothest experience.

The QUICKIE Iris ‘Rotation in Space’ technology is achieved via a rocker system, as opposed to a traditional single pivot tilt. This means that the user’s centre of mass is always over the centre of the chair and no matter how much tilt is applied the base is stable and easily manoeuvred. The rocker system also allows for a much smoother tilting mechanism, meaning it is less likely to spark a cognitive or tonal reaction from the user when compared to a less controlled single pivot tilt.
